With the Game Awards coming up soon, some people are very upset that Elden Ring was nominated for best narrative. This reaction appears to come from a misconception that Elden Ring has no story or that lore does not count as a narrative. Elden Ring is a 2022 action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It was directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki with worldbuilding provided by fantasy writer George R. R. Martin.
